From humble beginnings, and with the guidance of an energetic former Paralympian and Club President Andy Scott The Vodacom Mandeville Indoor Sports Center and extended sporting facilities has seen Mandeville become the flagship facility for athletes with disabilities in South Africa.

Mandeville was established in 1973 and aptly named after the renowned Stoke Mandeville Spinal Hospital in Aylesbury, England. Mandeville Sports and Social Club continues to play a vital role in the development of and provision of facilities for athletes with disabilities in South Africa.

The Vodacom Mandeville Indoor Sport Center has been home to Wheelchair Basketball since WBSA’s inception, and serves as the countries High Performance Center
